Open Facilities is Monday from 3 to 5 p.m. and Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. this week! We will be alternating Monday afternoons after school with baseball going forward, which means Tuesday/Thursday one week and Monday/Thursday the next. Again, this week will be Monday 3 to 5 p.m. and Thursday 6 to 8 p.m.

Recap of 5/22/18, Lawrence Central (Sectionals):
In a very exciting game, Warren Central defeated Lawrence Central 8-6 in Sectionals game #6. Lawrence Central scored a run in the bottom of the first, but Warren answered with 3 in the top of the 2nd to take the lead. The Lady Warriors added a run in the top of the 4th but Lawrence answered with 1 in the bottom of the 4th and 2 more in the bottom of the 5th, tying the game 4-4. Warren answered with 3 in the top of the 6th only to have LC score 2 in the bottom of the 6th, making it 7-6 Warren. Aniah Baxter hit a solo home run in the top of the 7th to push the score to 8-6 and end the scoring.
Lexi Jones had 2 hits, 3 RBIs and a run. Madison Wagers also had 2 hits and a run. Autumn Terhune was 1 for 3, scoring 3 runs. Shelbie Stotts doubled, knocking in 2 runs. The Lady Warriors collected 10 hits on the night and 8 RBIs.
Megan Sanders notched the win, throwing 5.1 innings while giving up 6 hits and 4 earned runs. Shelbie Stotts relieved, throwing 1.2 innings, giving up 1 hit and no runs.
Warren Central plays Cathedral in the Sectional Championship game Thursday at 5:30.
Recap of 5/16/18, Cathedral:
Warren lost to Cathedral 12-1. Cathedral jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first, added 7 in the 4th, and two more in the 5th. Warren's lone run was scored by Shelbie Stotts in the 3rd on a Megan Sanders single. Madison Wagers and Autumn Terhune each had a hit as well. Madison Waggoner pitched 4 innings, giving up 7 hits and 1 HBP. Shelbie Stotts threw one inning, giving up 3 hits. The Lady Warriors play their last regular season game of the year against Beech Grove on Friday. It is senior night!
Recap of 5/15/18, Carmel:
Warren Central beat Carmel 9-5, coming back for the victory after falling behind 4-1 early. Carmel jumped out to a 3 -0 lead in the bottom of the 1st. Warren answered with a run in the top of the 3rd only to have Carmel score in the bottom of that inning. However, the Lady Warriors scored 2 in the 4th and 2 more in the 5th to take a 5-4 lead. Carmel tied the game 5-5 in the bottom of the 5th. The Lady Warriors scored 4 in the top of the 6th to take the lead for good. Shelbie Stotts led the offense, going 3-4 with 2 homeruns and 5 RBIs. Alise Terhune went 2-3 with 2 RBIs and 2 Runs scored. Madison Wagers added an RBI while Megan Sanders had 2 hits including a double. Overall Warren Central had 10 hits and 9 RBIs. Lexi Jones also had a hit, an RBI, and scored. Defensively the Lady Warriors played outstanding softball. Aniah Sanders made several big plays at first. Madison Wagers also made several great defensive plays at short, including gunning down a runner at home who was trying to score from third on a ground ball. Hevon Williams made a diving ESPN highlight catch in center as well as throwing out a runner trying to advance to third. Overall it was an outstanding team defensive effort. Meanwhile, Megan Sanders pitched a complete game, giving up only 3 earned runs while walking none.
Recap of 5/14/18, Fishers:
Warren lost 15-10 to Fishers after a back and forth battle. Warren jumped out on top 3-0 only to have Fishers score 4 in the bottom of the first. Warren tied it 4-4 in the top of the second but Fishers scored 2 more in the bottom of the second and another 3 in the 3rd to go up 9-4. The Lady Warriors scored a run in the 4th and 5 more in the 5th to take a 10-9 lead. Unfortunately Fishers scored 3 in the 5th and 3 more in the 6th to close out the scoring and seal the win. Lexi Jones was 2 for 3 with a three run homer and 3 RBIs. Megan Sanders had a 2 run homer in the first. Shelbie Stotts was 3 for 5 while scoring 3 runs. Madison Wagers was 1 for 3 and scored 2 runs. Hevon Williams also had 2 hits. The Lady Warriors totals 12 hits overall.
Recap of 5/10/18, Triton Central:
Warren defeated Triton Central 6-3 after trailing 3-2 going in to the 7th inning. Autumn Terhune broke a one to one tie in the second with a solo home run. Triton added two runs on multiple hits to eventually take a 3-2 lead. Alise Terhune led off the 7th with a single to left. Madison Johnson laid down a bunt, beating the throw to first. Alise ended up on third with outstanding base running. Shelbie Stotts took a 2-0 pitch down the left field line for a triple, scoring two. Aniah Baxter plated two more with an opposite field homer to bring the score to 6-3. Madison Waggoner got the win, pitching 2 2/3 innings while giving up 3 hits and one run. Megan Sanders went 4 1/3, while giving up 3 hits and 1 earned run. The Warrriors had 10 hits overall with Stotts going 3-4 and Waggoner going 2-3.
Recap of 5/9/18 Bishop Chatard:
Warren Central dropped a close one to Bishop Chatard, losing 4-3 after leading early in the game. Warren scored 3 in the top of the first but Chatard tied it in the 3rd. The scored remained tied until Chatard scored the winning run in the 7th on a throwing error. The Warriors had 4 hits with Hevon Williams, Megan Sanders, Madison Johnson and Alise Terhune each singling. Shelbie Stotts pitched 5 innings, giving up 5 hits and one earned run. Madison Waggoner threw one inning giving up 2 hits and no earned runs.
Recap of 5/8/18, Ben Davis:
Warren Central lost 3-1. The Lady Warriors took the lead in the top of the first when Shelbie Stotts hit a solo homer. However, that was the end of the scoring for Warren as the team mounted several threats but was unable to push across another run. Ben Davis tied the game in the bottom of the first with a solo homer and then took the lead in the fourth on a throwing error. The Lady Warriors had 7 hits, but stranded 6 base runners, including three in the top of the 7. Megan Sanders pitched well over 5 innings, giving up 8 hits and only 1 earned run.
Recap of 5/4/18, Decatur Central County Game:
Warren Central fell to Decatur Central in County play, 9-0 Friday. Decatur's pitcher Kenzee Smith threw a perfect game with 16 strikeouts. The Hawks had 11 hits, scoring 9. However, only 4 runs were earned as the Lady Warriors had 4 errors.
Recap of 5/1/18, North Central:
Warren Central lost 11-9 to North Central. The Lady Warriors mounted a comeback in the sixth and seventh inning after falling behind by 8 runs earlier in the game. The Warriors scored two in the 6th when Autumn Terhune doubled and scored 4 more in the 7th with a two run home run by Shelbie Stotts in the 7th as well as run scoring hits from both Autumn and Alise Terhune. Notable offensive performances included the Terhune sisters going 5 for 7 with 3 doubles and 6 RBIs. Lexi Jones and Shelbie Stotts both went 2 for 4 while Megan Sanders went 2 for 2, including a double and scored 3 runs.
Recap of 4/30/18, Greenwood:
Warren played well in a 12-4 victory over Greenwood. The Lady Warriors had 15 hits, including multiple hits from Hevon Williams, Alexis Jones, Shelbie Stotts, Autumn Terhune, Alise Terhune and Megan Sanders. Hevon Williams had a solo homer in her first at bat, while Jones, Stotts, Baxter, and both Terhunes added doubles. Alise also had a triple for good measure. Hevon had two RBIs while Alise had three RBIs and Madison Johnson added two more RBIs.
The defense played well with multiple good plays, including a diving catch of a sinking line drive by Madison Wagers. Meanwhile, Madison Waggoner earned the win, pitching 4 innings while giving up 5 hits and 2 runs. She also struck out 3. Shelbie Stotts earned the save, pitching 3 innings while giving up 3 hits and 2 runs. Shelbie struck out 5.
Recap of 4/27/18, Lutheran:
Warren Central won 9-1 with a stand out team effort. The defense played error free ball with multiple great defensive plays from multiple players. Megan Sanders threw a complete game 2 hitter with 9 strikeouts and only one walk. The offense had 10 hits - three homers. Autumn Terhune homered in the second. Aniah Baxter had a two run homer in the third. Madison Wagers homered in the sixth. Shelbie Stotts, Megan Sanders, and Aniah had two hits each. A great team effort. They played hard and had fun!
Recap of 4/25/18, Pike:
The Lady Warriors won 10-1 against Pike after dropping two over the weekend to Terre Haute North. Warren Central had 8 hits in the game with Madison Wagers going 2 for 3, including an RBI. Lexi Jones had a hit, RBI and scored a run. Shelbie Stotts was 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and a home run. Aniah Baxter, Hevon Williams, and Jocelyn Strong each had a hit, with Jocelyn adding an RBI. The defense was outstanding with only one error. Meanwhile Megan Sanders threw 5 innings, giving up only 4 hits and 1 run while striking out 10. Madison Waggoner pitched two innings in relief and added 3 strike outs.
Recap of 4/24/18, Center Grove:
Warren lost 13-1 to Center Grove. The Lady Warriors kept it close through 4 innings and were only down 3-1 going into the 5th. Center Grove broke the game open in the 5th, scoring 10 runs, with 6 different hitters driving in runs. The Lady Warriors managed 2 hits and a walk with Shelbie Stotts scoring the only Warrior run on an RBI single from Aniah Baxter.
Recap of 4/18/18, Brebeuf Jesuit:
The Lady Warriors played well at Brebeuf. A strong defensive effort coupled with 13 hits and outstanding pitching resulted in a 12-2 victory over Brebeuf. Madison Waggoner pitched 5 2/3 innings, giving up only 3 hits and no earned runs, while striking out 8. Megan Sanders relieved, going 1 1/3 innings while allowing only 1 hit and no runs. Shelbie Stotts had 3 hits while Madison Wagers and Aniah Baxter added 2 a piece. Shelbie's hits included a three run homer; she finished the game with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Aniah added 2 RBIs. Overall it was another outstanding team effort by the Lady Warriors. They will play a double header Saturday against Terre Haute North at home. The first game time is 10 a.m.
Recap of 4/17/18, Lawrence Central:
Warren Central won 7-4 with an outstanding team effort. Shelbie Stotts and Megan Sanders combined for the win. They allowed 7 hits, but only 3 earned runs while recording 7 strikeouts. Madison Wagers and Megan Sanders had 3 hits a piece. Madison led off the game with a solo home run to start the scoring. She added two more RBIs later in the game while also scoring another run. Shelbie Stotts, Aniah Baxter, Alise Terhune and Autumn Terhune also had RBIs. Two of the Lady Warriors runs came on suicide squeeze plays. The defense made numerous sparkling plays while only committing two errors.
Warren Central defeated Eastern Hancock 7-4 with an outstanding team effort. The Lady Warriors had 9 hits in the game with Shelby Stotts going 3 for 4 and Lexi Jones and Megan Sanders each going 2 for 3. Megan Sanders and Madison Wagers each had 2 RBIs. The Warrior defense played well behind an excellent pitching effort from both Shelbie Stotts and Megan Sanders. Shelbie and Megan combined for a 6 hitter with 7 strike outs and only 2 walks.
Recap of 4/9/18, Southport:
The Lady Warriors played hard, played well and came within one out of completing a tremendous comeback after scoring 5 runs in the bottom of the fifth to take a 6- 4 lead against Southport. The final score was 10-6, but only after Southport pushed 5 runs across in the top of the 7th with two outs. Shelbie Stotts was 3 for 4 with two doubles, two runs scored, and two RBIs. Lexi Jones, Aniah Baxter, Madison Wagers, and Megan Sanders all added RBIs during the game. Alise Terhune completed a double play in the 6th to end a Southport rally with a catch in center field and a strike to the plate to get a runner tagging at third base.
The Lady Warriors next game is Tuesday at Lawrence North.
Recap of 4/7/18, Speedway:
This past Saturday, the Lady Warriors faced their first loss against Speedway High School. Unfortunately the lady warriors fell short 7-11. The bats did not fail for the warriors as Shelbie Stotts, Alise Terhune, and Joslyn Strong all hit home runs! Speedway got ahead in the game early on, but the Lady Warrior continued to work hard the whole game. Once again, the team showed how well they work together and never give up, even when behind in a game.
